A Simple OOTD

Today's look consists of a simple outfit which I wore when I went to the mall to look around for gifts for Christmas and went to the grocery. Haven't used the polo in a long time since it's actually men's polo which I just bought in a thrift store, but it's branded "Folded & Hung" though.

Simplicity is the key which I wanted in this look which I went for by wearing a plain white tee which I bought from a store in Trinoma. I forgot the name of the store but the seller said that the top was from a brand in the US called "HF". It's casual and comfortable, without having that much accessories on since I went out for errands. White leather sneakers from Keds which is comfortable when I have to walk fast or even run. Haha!

This cute bag is from an online store @mumibag which you can find on Instagram. They have stores in Greenhills, San Juan as well. They have a lot of cute and affordable bags, the seller is really nice too! This is called the Lucy Scallop bag in Tan, they have one in nude as well.

Aphrodite.

Taken last April during my cousin's wedding. I've only uploaded these photos now since I didn't have that much time on my hands until now. I didn't even have the time to edit the photos so all were taken from natural lights in the location.

This photo was taken outside. The bride and groom had a garden wedding and this was the made-up entrance to the ceremony. It was already night time, after the ceremony when this was taken.

Hair was beautifully done at Metro Salon, V. Luna corner Kalayaan Avenue, Quezon City. I love how the stylist worked hard to style my hair and make these intricate details on it, and it looked well with the theme of my dress.

These really adorable accessories were actually my grandmother's. It was perfect for the dress I was wearing because it had that Greek feel to it. I love the matching earrings and ring, and how both have an engraved figure of a woman.

This beautiful dress is actually only from an online shop here in the Philippines. I was having trouble looking for the perfect dress to wear for the occasion since I don't normally own and wear dresses. I don't even have that much formal dresses until now, when I decided to buy dresses just in case there was another occasion which I have to go to.

These peep-toe heels were actually bought for the occasion. My boyfriend got them for me. I chose to wear nude heels to compliment the dress. I didn't want to wear colored heels so it wouldn't attract too much attention and the focus will still remain on the details of the dress. I don't think black or white heels will look good with this dress as well.

Denim.

I've become a fan of denim tops just recently and although I bought this top last year, I was only able to wear this top last January when I went out for lunch with my uncle and my cousin. I love how it looks faded and the cute ribbon detail on the bottom.

I decided to wear it with my washed out jeans and white Keds so it will bring out a casual look. It's a good outfit to wear for summer or spring and it's really comfortable.

Pants: Penshoppe
White canvas sneakers: Keds

Oh yeah, I forgot to put some accessories on but you really don't have to put much on so the details of the top will be the highlight of the outfit. I'm imagining wearing a simple necklace or a simple brown leather cuff will do. ;)

Feeling Pretty In Pink.

Just a little something I wore when I had lunch out with my family. I don't really wear heels/wedges that much  when I go out because I usually ride a cab when I go to place, but I took this chance to wear wedges since they're bringing a car and it won't feel much of a hassle going to and fro. :)

The "very awkward pose" pose. Haha. I look like I'm feeling smug. But just had to post it because it's funny. :)

Nude cardigan: Forever 21
Pink sleeveless top (used as inner top): Forever 21
Sheer pink top: Bazaar
Gray pants: Penshoppe
Black wedges: Pill

One of the two funny shots for me. I don't really know what I was doing here. Coz I don't really know how to pose when my picture's being taken solo and I just try to copy what I see people doing on their shots. I tried this one out and it actually turned hilarious for me but I just had to post it. :D It kinda struck to me somehow that there's something about this picture though. XD

Hope you enjoyed this post and lemme know what you think.
And if you have an account on Chictopia please vote for my look.
Thanks! :)

America's Suiteheart

My first outfit post since I've returned to blogging. Teehee! ;) If you're wondering about the title of this look, it's a song from a band called Fall Out Boy.

Here's a little something which I wore for Valentine's Day. I've been meaning to wear this corset top for a while since I don't have any high waist skirt and I don't want my tummy to be showing. :p I didn't want to wear any accessories because there's already print on my top and skirt. Although it might be nice to have a short, simple necklace and maybe I should have fixed my hair up in a bun or something. :)

Corset top (cropped): Vanilla Breeze Clothing
Floral skirt: Just G
Gray cardigan: Tomato
Suede wedges: Forever 21

P.S. You can see the new color of my hair here clearly :)

Funny Weather We're Having.

Just wanted to share some old photos of mine back when I just colored my hair after 4 years since I last had it colored. :) I don't know why I thought of wearing shorts with knee-high boots but I felt like it. I don't normally dress up like this since I always commute when I got out. So when I'm wearing shorts I just pair it with sneakers or I just wear pants. I got to wear this since my aunt was going to pick me up at home and she has a car so we'll go to Eastwood (mall) in it.

It was almost night time so it was going to be a bit chilly that's why I had the nerve to wear long sleeves. But I still wanted to look a bit casual and comfy by wearing shorts.

The black long sleeved top was given to me by one of my aunts. It's really pretty and it's actually thrifted. I think it's one of those overruns though because there was a cut tag inside the shirt. The denim shorts and the neon necklace is from Forever 21 and I love that necklace because it looks geeky yet stylish. Lastly, the black boots are from a store called Babo and it's really comfortable to use.

There was free wireless internet in the salon so I took some vain shots while waiting. ;) And finally, the finished product. From black hair to copper blonde. :) Hoping to grow my hair longer and have it permed for that girly look. ;) (Edited with Diptic app)

Plain Jane.

This is what I wore on a school day a few months ago. I don't really dress up like this but I just tried it since it's something new. The denim pants is from Lee and the size is bigger than my normal size in pants. Since it wasn't used for a very long time, I wanted to try pairing it with some of the new clothes/accessories I got. I folded the pants to make it look like capri pants. The striped top was bought in Zara and was given to me as a gift. Paired it with black flats so I can walk comfortably and tied my hair in a bun and secured my bangs with hairpins to have the "good girl" effect. ;) Sorry for the blurred/pixilated photos, this was taken with only a cellphone.

This watch was given to me by my mom. I got it because I teased her about buying my siblings some "back-to-school" stuff and I said that even though I'm already in college, I wanted one too. Haha. It's one of Swatch's limited edition watches. I think it was called their "Valentine Collection". I really like the color of this watch and how I can pair it easily with my clothes even though it's read. I love the design and the details of the watch as well.

This burnt orange Uttara Sling Satchel was one of my best finds. I saw it on Tomato's online store but it wasn't available there anymore. So I went to the mall and looked at their branches and found a stall which still has this bag. It's really worth buying because of how much I was able to use this bag. It's stylish and I can put a lot of things without the bag feeling heavy. Plus it has a lot of pockets inside so I can organize my things easily.

(P.S. This photo was taken from Tomato's online store since I don't have a decent picture of the bag)

Pastel Dreams.

Ever since satchels became trendy again, I've always wanted to buy one. I find satchels cute especially the light colored ones (this coming from a girl who used to wear/use anything but black). When I joined Chictopia, I was inspired to start wearing colorful clothes or light colored ones. What really inspired me were people who were pastel colored clothes. To me, they look feminine, romantic and pretty because of the light colored tones which they put together.

I found it hard to find shops which sell satchels because the online stores which I know have run out of stock already and the ones which were left are just dark colored satchels. I finally found a store which had pastel colored satchels and where you can choose the size of the satchel which you want. The online store is called Studio Boheme. They have a vast collection of satchels and you can even have yours customized from the color you want, the size, the designs, and even small details like bows on the straps, etc.

How I Used My Satchel For The First Time

I wore this when I went to school and went out for lunch afterwards with my boyfriend. I was wearing a sleeveless top that time and since it's going to be cold in the mall, I thought of wearing a jacket over it. I didn't know what color I’d wear because the only cardigans I had were yellow, gray and black. Then I found this old brown cardigan which used to belong to my mom and it fits me perfectly. I decided to tuck in my top because it was longer than my cardigan and wore a matching brown belt. I just love the color combination of pink and brown. Wore the bangles which I bought from Forever 21 as well for the first time since I bought it.

What I'm Wearing
Top: Thrifted
Brown Cardigan: Mom's
Light Blue Skinny Jeans: Topshop
Brown Belt: Given to me as a gift

Pink Bangles: Forever 21

I See Stars In Daylight.

Just dug up some of the looks which I've posted on Chictopia and Instagram. I wore this when my family and I went out for lunch at a hotel. My aunt had these vouchers for a Dimsum buffet so some of my relatives and I went along. What's good about the skirt is that it's garterized so I was still able to eat a lot without feeling like I'm going to pop out of it when I felt full. ;) So I was able to eat a lot yet still feel chic in this girly outfit.

The light grey cardigan is from Tomato.  It's made out of cotton and it's really comfortable to use because of the soft material. This is the first cardigan which I've bought ever since I had a fondness in cardigans. I was able to use it with a lot of my looks because of its neutral color.

This fun star-printed skirt was an awesome find in a Trinoma's (mall) department store. It's a light cream colored skirt with navy blue stars printed all around it. Paired it with a simple white, round neck top from Penshoppe.

The owl necklace which I wore. I bought this in a store called Girl Shoppe. Not really sure if they have a website right now because a lot of sites keep popping up and I'm not sure if any of those are legit. I love this necklace because it  has a long chain and because of the cute owl pendant.

Black peep-top heels from Janylin. It has that ribbon-like-detail on the front. I like these shoes because the heel is not that high for me and it really looks amazing on my feet. It's simple yet classy, but can also be paired with casual clothes like jeans. I only used these shoes for the picture but I changed to flats right after so I wouldn't look too formal because we were only having lunch in a buffet restaurant. ;)

It's an old post but you can still vote for this look on Chictopia :)
