I See Stars In Daylight.

Just dug up some of the looks which I've posted on Chictopia and Instagram. I wore this when my family and I went out for lunch at a hotel. My aunt had these vouchers for a Dimsum buffet so some of my relatives and I went along. What's good about the skirt is that it's garterized so I was still able to eat a lot without feeling like I'm going to pop out of it when I felt full. ;) So I was able to eat a lot yet still feel chic in this girly outfit.

The light grey cardigan is from Tomato.  It's made out of cotton and it's really comfortable to use because of the soft material. This is the first cardigan which I've bought ever since I had a fondness in cardigans. I was able to use it with a lot of my looks because of its neutral color.

This fun star-printed skirt was an awesome find in a Trinoma's (mall) department store. It's a light cream colored skirt with navy blue stars printed all around it. Paired it with a simple white, round neck top from Penshoppe.

The owl necklace which I wore. I bought this in a store called Girl Shoppe. Not really sure if they have a website right now because a lot of sites keep popping up and I'm not sure if any of those are legit. I love this necklace because it  has a long chain and because of the cute owl pendant.

Black peep-top heels from Janylin. It has that ribbon-like-detail on the front. I like these shoes because the heel is not that high for me and it really looks amazing on my feet. It's simple yet classy, but can also be paired with casual clothes like jeans. I only used these shoes for the picture but I changed to flats right after so I wouldn't look too formal because we were only having lunch in a buffet restaurant. ;)

It's an old post but you can still vote for this look on Chictopia :)

The Sunshine Award.

Just wanted to share this awesome award which I got from lovely blogger, thelittleleopard. I wanted to thank her so much because she already gave me this award even though she only followed/read my blog for a few days. It would be great if you can check out her blog too :)

Sorry I couldn't make the picture larger because it goes beyond the border of my blog posts. But it says...
"For those who do not know what a Sunshine Blog Award is: It is a prize that is awarded to "bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogoshpere"

The Rules:

1.) Include the award logo in a post or on your blog page.
2.:) Answer 10 questions about yourself. These are below.
3.) Nominate 10-12 other fabulous bloggers.
4.) Link your nominees to this post and comment on their blog, letting them know about the award.
5.) Share the love and link the person who nominated you.

I was so surprised to get this award because the lovely blogger who gave this to me think I was worthy enough to be someone who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogoshpere. :)

Questions:

1.What would you most like to change about yourself?
    - I'd like to be more responsible about the things I do. :)

2. What is your theme song?
- Hmm.. I don't really have one but I'm currently addicted to "The One That Got Away" by Katy Perry. :)

Instagram: Photo Dump Of The Week

So I've been using Instagram for 7 months now and I'm quite addicted to this little social networking application on my phone. Before I blogged, this was were I uploaded photos of the things I do, the things I buy, the things I eat, and photos with my friends and family too. But now that I've started blogging, I thought of starting my own photo dump. Every week I'll post chosen photos (mostly food! hehe) from my Instagram so I can share other things aside from my usual fashion-related posts

This first batch consists of photos which I've taken a few months back. It's mostly food because that's what I loved to upload in my Instagram account when I was a new user.

1. ) Popcorn from Kettle Korn: I love this brand because it has 3 different flavors; original, cheese and barbecue. The popcorn is sweet but has a little salty taste to it too.

2.) M&M's: This was given to us by a relative who went overseas. It's the biggest pack of M&M's I've ever seen. It's placed in a resealable bag so you can store it easily.

3.) Strawberry cheesecake: I bought this from a store called Conti's. They're famous for their delicious cakes and pastries. I bought this cake for my family because every Sunday, we gather at my grandmother's house and that's where we all eat.

4.) Chocolates from Japan: These are my favorite chocolates ever! This was given to me by my boyfriend's mother when she came home to the Philippines from Japan. It's really cute because of the intricate design and it tastes so good.

5.) UCC Cafe Terrace: Strawberry with apple zest shake. Best clubhouse sandwiches I've tasted so far from that restaurant. The first batch consists of strips of chicken, hard-boiled egg and strips of kani (crab meat). The second batch is your regular clubhouse sandwich.

6.) Cyma: It's our favorite Greek restaurant in the mall (in Trinoma). Took a photo of this because of their new hardbound menu. Had Caesar's salad and penne pesto with feta cheese.

So there you have it! I hope you enjoyed my very first photo dump :) Will try to post some other things in my next post so I won't make you all feel hungry ;)

P.S. Just wanted to add in this post that I'll be having a weekly feature of a blogger. I was inspired by a fellow blogger, Shari, because I was featured in her blog. I want to get more involved in the blogging community and I want to show that I care about the blogs which I follow and people who follow me. I don't want people to think that I just follow for follows. This would be a great opportunity to spread blogs of other people too. :) If you like to be featured, just send me an email at jasminmarieisabel@gmail.com or leave a comment on my posts ;)

Can You Tell Me How To Get To Sesame Street?

This graphic tee was given to my by my aunt for Christmas last year. I love the print because it looks like one of the characters, Big Bird, from Sesame Street, even though it actually isn’t. I decided to go for a casual and comfortable look so paired it with my favorite thrifted denim shorts. As for the belt, I chose yellow to match with the colors of the character on my shirt. If you take a closer look at my accessories, you’ll see that the chunky bracelet matches the color scheme of my shirt as well. Lastly, I wore my old pair of white Converse high-cut sneakers. I haven’t used this for a long time and it was really dirty so I had to wash it first before I used it that’s why it looks brand new. I wasn’t able to take a photo of my sneakers but it actually has a light pink lining around the bottom part of each one. Decided to try something new for a change from my girly outfits ;)

I don't really know what I was doing in this photo. Haha. I'm not really great in posing ;)

A closer look on my graphic tee. See! It really looks like Big Bird doesn't it? Haha.

Borrowed these bracelets from my aunt again. She really has an awesome collection of accessories!

Graphic top: Zara
Denim shorts: thrifted
Yellow belt: thrifted
White high-cut sneakers: Converse

P.S. Just wanted to share something funny. When I showed the new layout of my blog my boyfriend said that it was good but that I had to change the logos of my other social networking sites. Instead of a banner I made, he told me to use the logos of those websites instead so that it won't be too plain. It's really nice how he supports me in what I'm doing and how he tries to help me with it by giving suggestions and ideas. So, what do you think? ;)

New template and collaboration :)

Since I have spare time for the weekend, I wanted to change the template for my blog. Before, I used the preset template "Simple". It doesn't have any borders for each post and for the gadgets and the header background is longer in width. I switched to the Awesome Inc template because I wanted to have borders around my posts and to separate it gadget on my side bar. Plus, the header is easier to adjust and I can just choose the option for the image "Instead of title and description" so it's not that hard to edit the size of my banner.

I kept the same fonts except for the gadget's fonts, where I used the font "Coming Soon". I kept the same theme for the colors of my texts because I like the combination of light pink and green. I like this template better because I think it looks cleaner and neater.

Anyway, I just wanted to add in this post that I have a collaboration with a website called Chinese Apparel. I was surprised to get a message from them saying that the wanted me to place their banners on my website and in return, they'll advertise my blog on their Facebook page as well. I think it's a great opportunity for a blogger like me and it will be great advertising for them.

Chinese Apparel is an online store which you can find on their website and on Facebook. They have great clothes from tops to bottoms and intimate apparels. Oh, and they have accessories too. Their clothes are really pretty and it's cheap for such great finds. I can tell you how great their clothes are and compliment them all I want but it would be better if you could check their website and see for yourself. It's just a click a way. ;)

P.S. My GFC is now located at the bottom of my page just in case you try to find it on the sidebar. Do you think it's better that way or should I put it back on my sidebar so it would be easier for others to find? Hoping to hear your suggestions :)

The Pink Panther.

Saw this cute printed scarf on a magazine months ago but in a different brand and much more expensive. Was surprised to see a similar kind in Forever 21 when I went there with my mom. I was happy to be able to buy this because it was a lot cheaper and because I liked the color and the print. I love pairing it with a simple white or black top so that the print would stand out.

For this look, I decided to go for denim shorts and boots for that casual, yet still outgoing look. Feeling like strolling under the bright rays of the sun, I wore shades and simple black bangles, again trying to make the look simple so that the scarf will still stand out.

These boots are my favorite. I searched for boots like these for a long time and finally found a cheap one in the mall. The brand is called Babo and they sell a lot of cheap, but gorgeous shoes. I wanted to buy another pair from them but when I went back the store was already closed. It's hard to wear boots in the Philippines because of the hot weather, but I just love boots especially when paired with dresses and leggings so I often wear it on rainy days or during cold months like November-December.

I borrowed these bangles from my aunt.

What's New In My Closet.

This items were bought on separate days, the photos just got compiled because I haven't been able to upload any of these when I bought it. So this will kind of be my photo dump for the first 2 weeks of August's purchases.

These tops were bought from Monkee Business, an online store here in the Philippines. I'm not sure if they ship overseas but they have really great items. Ordering another pair of clothes from them this week because they restocked a bunch of cute tops :)

Sheer-navy blue-peter pan collar top

Orange peter pan collar top

I'm into peter pan collars right now because I find them so cute :)

This pants were the first pair which I bought from Topshop. I find their clothes expensive, but there's always a first time for everything and this was my first purchase from their store ever :) It has a light blue color and it's really good when paired with bright colored tops. What I like about Topshop pants though is that you can get the same size of the pants with different lengths. In some of the shops here in the Philippines, you have to get a larger size for you to get longer pants if it's too short for you.

Cute bangles with different shades of pink from Forever 21.

Peach colored nail polish from Forever 21 as well. Haven't tried this on yet so I don't know how it looks on my nails.

Loving these bags which I bought in a shop called Terranova.

Flesh/khaki-like colored bag which you can pair with anything because of its neutral color. I find myself using this bag when going to the grocery or when I shop for clothes. :)

Love this sweet red bag too. I'm not really into colored bags before other than black because I find it hard to pair with my outfits. But I learned how to mix and match colors and I find this red bag great when used with denim pants and just a plain white top :)

P.S. Don't forget to check out my latest look ;)

Serena.

Hey there! Just wanted to share another look inspired by the TV series, Gossip Girl. I just thought of the color combination because of a look Serena Van der woodsen wore. I was never really used to mixing and matching different colors before. I only began to mix and match different colors because of inspirations I see online. You can see the inspiration of my look here.

This sheer yellow top was bought from Forever 21. It has a double layer so the top part isn't really see through so you don't have to wear an inner top for it, but the bottom part is sheer. This cute blue bag was one of my best finds online. I bought it from Tomato. It has a removable strap so you can use it as a handbag and you can put back the strap on so you can use it as a sling bag. Paired it with denim skinny pants for a casual look, yet still have that feminine touch.

This gorgeous stranded necklace was given to me by my aunt.

I borrowed this pretty bracelet from the same aunt who gave me the necklace. I love the colors and the different shapes on this necklace. Looks very sophisticated but it really goes well with my top.

Black peep toe heels to finish the look off.

Vote for this look on Chictopia :)

4 Years And Counting...

Hey guys! Just wanted to share one of the most important days in my life. Today, August 16, 2012, my boyfriend and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. This is the first time that I've lasted in a relationship this long and I'm really happy. We always have our ups and downs, but in the end, we always seem to find a way back to each other. I really didn't expect that I'd find someone like him, nor did I expect that it would last this long. But I'm glad to say that it did, and I'm very proud to have him as my boyfriend.

He surprised me by bringing my favorite dimsum at home and we ate together.

It was so funny because I was still in my pajamas when he came. The print is actually Tazmanian Devil, my favorite Looney Toon character. Hehe! ;)

We watched the movie, The Expendables 2.

Had lemonade from Taters and lemon lime from Muscle Beach. We bought a lot of food as well. Like fries with sour cream.

Nacho cheese popcorn.

Nachos with ground beef, salsa and melted cheese.

Mexican munchers.

My favorite, sour gummy worms from Candy Corner.

For dinner, we ate at a restaurant called Tempura.

Had Kani salad, Tamago sushi and California Maki.

This is the love of my life <3 Some people say that the longer we stay together, the more we start to look alike. ;)

For the last picture, we asked a waitress to take it for us. I really had a great day and I wish that we could have spent more time together, but it was fun nonetheless. I know it's not a grand date or anything for an anniversary, but no matter what we do or where we go, it won't matter as long as I have him by my side. :)
