Customized shorts!

Found this blog on tumblr (http://shopshorts.tumblr.com/) which sells DIY/customized shorts. They're actually really pretty and you can customize your own pair. You can request what you want them to do with the shorts like have it studded, distressed or if you want dark colored shorts or light ones. Here are some samples of what they do, these are the ones I liked so far...

Hope you'll check out their online shop. They have lots of great and one-of-a-kind collection of shorts. :)

I'm No Waldorf.

I'm sure some of us know the TV series, Gossip Girl. Was a fan the moment I watched an episode of this show. Because of that, was inspired to with this look by none other than the Queen B herself, Ms. Blair Waldorf. I've always loved her sweet and chic style. She always looked so pretty in her outfits and lady-like.

Started off with a red bow headband, the Queen B's signature look during the first few seasons. Then slowly made my way to her school girl look.

I'd like to take this moment to apologize to my wallet. ;)

Only 2 days have passed since I last bought something from Forever 21. My cousin asked me to accompany her to Forever 21 since she wanted to buy something. As usual, I wasn't able to resist buying something so I ended up shopping again. Haha. But it was actually a good trip and I love the things I bought so I don't regret anything. ;)

I bought nail polish for the first time at F21. Haven't tried their nail polish yet so I hope the consistency is good and it will turn out right. Bought the hot pink color. The next item I bought were earrings. They were sold in a set. It's gold crosses, a thin one and a thick one with diamonds (not real ones of course! hehe).

Then finally, I was able to buy a black bag. I've been looking for a nice black bag for a long time now. Was happy to finally be able to find a decent black bag because I really need it. It has 2 straps, a short one if you want to use it as a shoulder bag, and a long/adjustable one if you want to use it as a messenger-bag-like one.  The space is big so I can put a lot of things and it has 3 additional pockets inside. It has a cute design but it's actually simple so I can easily pair it with my clothes.

Testing out new products.

Went to the mall today to buy shampoo and conditioner. In the department store, there's lots of different kinds of shampoos and conditioners which you won't be able to find in a normal grocery. I was supposed to buy the brand which I tried out just last month which is Shine Moist, but the saleslady recommended to try this brand, Fudge, instead. I'm not really familiar with the brand because it's the first time I heard about it or saw it. But I searched the net and it's a product from the UK. (http://www.fudgehair.co.uk)

There's different types of shampoo and conditioner in this brand. For straight hair, for dry hair, etc. but I bought the ones for colored hair. It says that it will make the color on my hair last longer. I just hope that this shampoo/conditioner won't make my hair dry like some products do. I bought these because it was actually on sale. I bought it for half the price. The shampoo was at around 450 Php down to 225 Php. The conditioner was at around 420 Php down to 210 Php. So to estimate it, let's just say that from around $10, I got each for only $5, which is half the price.

The other product is Celeteque, a facial wash. It's a normal facial wash which can be used daily unlike others which are specialized for blackheads, etc. and can be only used every other day. This product doesn't have that much chemicals so it won't react on your skin. You can use it as needed, I prefer using it only twice a day, once in the morning and before I go to bed. Some other products give me more pimples on my face so I hope I won't have any reaction with this one. I even got a 20% discount on this product because of my advantage card which can be bought in the mall.

This card helps a lot because whenever you buy something in that mall, you can use the card and earn points. The amount of the products/items which you buy will be converted to points. You can use these points to buy stuff or get discounts in shops, salons, hotels, etc. which they are partnered with. Had to hide my last name though so sorry for that black part :p

What I Got To Buy Today.

This afternoon I went to the mall hoping to buy accessories and clothes that I wanted. But instead of buying the things on my list, I was able to buy something else. It was unexpected, though it was a lot better than what I was supposed to buy.

I bought these imitation 3-strand pearl necklace at Forever 21. (http://www.forever21.com/) Was supposed to buy a single strand of pearl necklace only but when I saw these, I felt that these would look better on me and the clothes I wear. The pearls are connected through silver chains. Here's a more detailed picture of the design.

These adorable chunky color block heels are from Comfit (http://www.facebook.com/comfitshoe). They have lots of other colors as well, so you might want to check it out. They also have these in yellow and it's just lovely. The heels are about around 4" high but the heels are thick so it's not that hard to walk around in them. The top is a bit of a nude color and the bottom is more of a darker shade of pink.

What I really love about these is that I only paid for half the price because my boyfriend accompanied me today and when he saw how good the shoes looked on me, I teased him about buying it for me and when he said yes, I told him that I was kidding. But because he wanted to buy it for me, I just told him that we'd split the payment. Was just so happy that I was able to buy these because of him. :) He was actually the one who pushed me to buy it.

Here's a clearer picture which has more precise colors (I used flash on the camera so the colors darkened a bit in the pictures) which I took from their album.

Excited to try these heels out with an outfit I prepared for it. Simple, yet I just love how the colors look good together. Here's a little teaser for what I plan to wear these with, will post once I try it on. :)

Jellybean.

There's this store which has such cute clothes and now they have cute shoes as well. I was just browsing through their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ilovejellybean) because they uploaded pictures of new stocks they have and found these adorable pieces.

Twilight blue colored dress with leaves print and a cute white collar and white buttons. I'm not sure if the belt is included when you buy the dress but it's a good touch to this outfit. Details about the dress can be found here

The next item I found, which looks like pink-colored flats, is actually neon orange as stated in the details of their site. Looks like pink to me, so I found it adorable and matches perfectly with the dress. But if you pair this with the dress, I suggest changing the color of the belt. Yellow and pink might be a good combination for some outfits, but I think I'd prefer to change the color of the belt here so that there won't be too much contrasting colors. Details of these flats can be found here

DIY Bow Shorts (Video)

This is a video I found earlier on YouTube while I was browsing for some tips on distressing shorts and turning pants into shorts. It's a really good video on how you can put bow details on the back pockets of your shorts. It's a really good DIY if you can find cheap/affordable pants and the outcome really looks cute. Might try this out in the future ;)

This is her YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/coolirpa) she has a lot of other videos you might  which want to check out.

I'm a Pinkaholic.

There's an online store which I recently found out about just a month ago. Most of their pieces were almost sold out back then but by the time they had more clothes in stock, I couldn't help but order from them. I got these pieces just 3 days ago. The store is called Pinkaholic Fashion Shoppe. They have their own website (http://pinkaholic.com.ph/) and Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pinkaholicfashionshoppe) as well. Although I'm not sure if they ship overseas at the moment, but their collection is really lovely.

This is a cream-colored floral top. I love the color of the details and how the blue and red flowers go well with the cream base. It has little plum-colored keys in the details as well. It's comfortable to wear because of the sheer fabric.

This high-waisted denim shorts was one of the pieces I set my eyes on. When I first saw it, I just knew that I had to buy it since they only have limited stocks, I'm lucky enough to be able to buy this before they ran out. It has silver beads sewn and you'll see a bit of distressed patterns on both sides of the lower pockets. It fits me well and it's not that tight on the waist and the thighs.

Little Miss Sunshine.

My first post will be the first look I've ever posted on any social networking site. I've always loved this look because it's simple and it's the first picture I've taken of me which I uploaded on lookbook, instagram and chictopia.

I wore this outfit one Sunday afternoon as my family and I were about to go out to a mall to eat at our favorite restaurant which is called Cyma. It's a Greek restaurant and we just love it there. Since its a bright and sunny afternoon, I thought I was inspired to wear this delightful yellow ruffled skirt from Forever 21 (http://www.forever21.com). I really love the style of this skirt and its vibrant color.

I paired this look with a simple round neck shirt from Jellybean (http://www.facebook.com/ilovejellybean), a simple black sling bag which I bought from a department store in TriNoMa and red flats with a black bow detail from Janylin (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Janylin-Shoes/119586564740999)

Fashion Blogging?

Recently, I joined a fashion social network called Chictopia. I wanted to share my personal styles/looks and got to see a lot of awesome looks as well. Since I passed by a few threads in the forum about fashion blogging. I thought "why not make one myself since I'm almost always online posting about looks and sharing it with other people?". So now I'm just going to earn a lot of photos and start posting about my personal style. Hope it will work out for me. ;)
